Before and After Examples from Beauty Retoucher John Deaville

Beauty Retoucher samples from some of my projects.

I am currently updating this section to include before and after sliders. I am also adding  quicktime animations showing stages of the retouching process.

This image has been manipulated to:

• retouch all skin to be perfect and free of all blemishes
• the face and arms are dodged and burned to give more form and highlights
• a coloured glitter has been added to all skin to harmonise with the colour scheme

On this image, all the skin tones and textures have been cleaned and perfected. I use a combination of frequency seperation and dodging and burning to do this. In addition I have dodged and burned to accentuate highlights on the skin to make the skin ‘glow’.

For this image, I manipulated it by:

• retouch the skin to be free of blemishes whilst maintaining the overall skin texture
• added selective highlight to the face to increase clarity and modelling
• added some artificial highlights to eyes to lighten up
• cleaned up some of the hair/crossovers
• introduced a contrasting cyan tone to the background to create a grade
