I have done a number of pieces for photographer Garry Errill, and should be planning a new website for him to showcase his work come the new year.

My postings have been somewhat erratic over the last two months as I have been very busy working with Ranald Mackechnie on work for the Football Association, Guinness Book of Records and currently working on updating his website, also some fashion retouching for Doug Hurcombe at Astroman Corps and a chunk of retouching for LuxPhotoDigital for clients like Avon and LSA. Got to squeeze in a couple of websites over the next two weeks and then I am off to Somerset to see my brother and family and then to my Mums to visit the contents of her fridge, who I am afraid will possibly not make it through to 2011 …

Will be giving this blog a facelift when I return, mind you I have been saying that for at least a year. 2011, bring it on!

A whole series of images taken by London Advertising Photographer Ranald Mackechnie, we created a soft focus/overlay effect to create an illustrative effect akin to vintage football cards.

Make-up artist Alison asked me to give this image a bit of extra punch, I have applied a contrast mask to give a bit more tonal depth plus an overall smoothing, colour adjustment and the works.

I plugged in my hard drives into my my Mac and I have about 15,000 PSD files and a bazillion jpegs, time for a clearout methinks, I thought I would pull out a couple of images that I produced in college (1994!) which I had scanned in years ago, I had a lot more which I could not immediately locate – they are probably on a corrupted disc somewhere consigned to the mist of time

possibly the best place for them (?)

Wow, no posts for a long time …

I have been working on a number of projects, couple of websites and I have been doing a lot of outsourced retouching and web projects which I cant really post on here, hence my lack of activity.

So, this is a shoot that Stuart Hendry did a while back, which we decided to try to have a play around with, I have a lot of pics on my hard drive and my intention is to try several different illustrative styles purely in the interest of seeing what I can come up with, this was the first

more to come (hopefully I wont leave it a month though)….
