Website Design, Flash + XML Photography Portfolio, Glenn Harper Photographer

Glenn Harper Photography Portfolio

Glenn Harper is an accomplished photographer, retoucher and CGI modeller who I have known through LuxPhotoDigital Studio for a while and was asked to design a website to showcase his personal photography.

The site uses Flash and XML so Glenn can easily update the number of portfolios and images, and we are currently developing the site to add a Javascript (NonFlash) version for Iphones as well as developing the Wordpress Blog to sell some limited editions prints.

Please take a look at http://www.glennharper.co.uk

Old and some very old illustration work I did at college

when I mean old – these were done after college, around 1997-98 and some are later when I started plying around with photoshop for the first time, I actually ended up malingering around my old college helping out teach Photoshop

I hope I have improved somewhat, but it is always good to look back, some of the digital work was done later when I was preparing for an interview to do another course in 1998 which I decided would be a waste of time …

Old and some very old photography work from college and after

I plugged in my hard drives into my my Mac and I have about 15,000 PSD files and a bazillion jpegs, time for a clearout methinks, I thought I would pull out a couple of images that I produced in college (1994!) which I had scanned in years ago, I had a lot more which I could not immediately locate – they are probably on a corrupted disc somewhere consigned to the mist of time

Photographic Illustration Collaboration with Photographer Stuart Hendry

Collaboration with London Photographer Stuart Hendry

Wow, no posts for a long time …

I have been working on a number of projects, couple of websites and I have been doing a lot of outsourced retouching and web projects which I cant really post on here, hence my lack of activity.

So, this is a shoot that Stuart Hendry did a while back, which we decided to try to have a play around with, I have a lot of pics on my hard drive and my intention is to try several different illustrative styles purely in the interest of seeing what I can come up with, this was the first

more to come (hopefully I wont leave it a month though)….

Photographic Illustration and Photo Retouching, Collaboration with Stuart Hendry

Photographic Illustration, John Deaville, Stuart Hendry

Stuart Hendry sent me some photos from a  recent shoot called ‘Free Runners‘ to have a play with, which you can see in more detail  on his photographic blog here

I wanted to create a kind of grungy feel, hence the textured background and the usual paint splatty thing, this was just my initial play with the image and I plan on developing it more.

Website Design, Buxtons Contract Flooring, Updated

Buxtons Contract Flooring, Flooring Brighton & Essex

I have updated the previous version of the Buxtons website, I have altered the page structures to hopefully get much improved Search Engine Results.

Getting decent results is a combination of Search Engine Optimisation (making pages easily read by Google, and optimising the page for chosen keywords) and Search Engine Marketing (link building). We also have  a sister site using Wordpress so that we can easily add latest news, flooring projects, customer feedback etc …

Buxtons Domestic & Commercial Flooring Department, Contract Flooring in Brighton & Sussex

Buxtons Contract Flooring and Curtain & Blinds division offers quality services and have the capability to take on work throughout Brighton and East and West Sussex. As contract flooring specialists, we supply products from the leading branded manufacturers including Tarkett, Altro and Forbo.

Illustration, Photo Montage, Stuart Hendry Collaboration

Paint Illustration for London Photographer Stuart Hendry

Stuart Hendry is a London photographer based in South London and recently burnt a number of recent pieces to disc so that we could have a mess about and see if we could come up with some interesting illustrations,

the originals came from a shoot Stuart did here:

take a look at some more of STu’s work at:

This is my initial work, pretty happy with the concept which was to make something reminiscent of a Rorschach pattern:

Photographic Retouching, Fashion Retouching, Advertising Photography for Clive Rohald

Advertising Fashion Retouching for Clive RohaldOne of a series of images retouched for Clive Rohald, in all cases we tidied up images, removed details from the lift panel (buttons etc …) enriched background colours, and adjusted skin tones to look consistent. I also drew a series of paths over the original green ‘wires’ and stroked the paths to create a more vivid colouring effect on the wires which could be tweeked according to any last minute preferences.

You can see more examples of advertising retouching and fashion retouching at my dedicated photographic retouching website at http://www.photofixer.co.uk

Photographic Retouching, Beauty Fashion Retouching, Clive Rohald

Beauty Retouching for Clive Rohald One of a series of images retouched for Clive Rohald for a study of lack of identity, so one of the tasks was to make the models look similar in terms of body shape, skin tone and hair colour etc …  After retouching the body shapes, clearing and airbrushing skin surfaces, we applied the same deep colour adjustments to the backgrounds and applied a standard colour layer over the skin and garments.

I have other samples of beauty retouching, fashion retouching and advertising retouching on this site, please use the search box on the right hand side. Or take  a look at my dedicated photographic retouching website at http://www.photofixer.co.uk
